My favourite review of Hamilton was from a friend similarly strong-armed into attending by his wife, who thought it “an elegant fusion of The History Channel, The Sugarhill Gang and BNWO porn”. On my last trip to Theatreland, I opted for Death of a Salesman instead. I’d be happy to revise my non-attendance policy mind, just as long as I can sit behind @Eric Cuntman and watch his shoulders meet his ears.

Herbert I suppose is harmless or stupid. Put your hand in one and see. There was a sort of post industrial art installation at Tate Britain (which is the only one worth fucking visiting) where a large hall was filled with these giant pieces of metal heavy engineering kit all made to exacting standards. We used to have manufacturing but the tools needed for manufacturing were made in the Midlands. Fucking awesome and now all dead. I found that exhibition quite moving. That's what Britain is now just a fringe economy an archaeological siye with a fucking cabin for the super rich and City of London. Then you've got the 1066 landowners headed up by Charlie boy who provides the protection waiting for their piece of the action (house building, logistics, nre green infrastructure) cos they own the land. Things haven't changed much in a thousand years.

Every politician will tell you that heavy industry doesn’t matter. The femming up of society was always going to come with the decline then demise of the traditional heavy industries. But I've never seen how a couple of service jobs in a foreign owned fast food chain or a few guys in white vans working all hours with little financial security against illness etc as so called "small businesses" equates with industry, factories and making things. Now politicians just asume that numbers, eg pop growth plus immigration plus building houses = economic growth. Fucking fools. That system is doomed. It's a con trick. About 30 years ago I was near the cathedral where a lad was doing noisy flips and tricks on a skateboard, nearby was a beggar with a rather large and beefy looking Bully type dog. Suddenly the dog shot out and grabbed the skateboard and the lad went flying .. everybody (including me) started laughing as the poor lad and the beggar tried to get the dog to let go of the skateboard. They will trying half an hour later when I walked away.
