A lot of football cubs have gone the same way, once they were "clubs" now they are PLCs. Simply that the money men saw their chance and pushed the original committee out regardless. The same thing happened to building societies that became banks and mutual insurance funds that became insurance companies. The members had n real choice and were offered a bribe that they could not refuse. The EU is like that, the people have no real influence. Panzer you say that you are "disabled" .. being moderately disabled was bearable here until less than 10 years ago then in came a new government who made disability an offence and used the disabled as a scapegoat. I give you five years before the same thing is happening in the ROI .. no running through Phoenix Park then .. if you can wave a finger or toe you can work .. no matter that there are no jobs anyway. That is what the new truth will be.

Bigwigs were already in the social club when the locals joined and the locals had more weight than their numbers justified ..but they squandered it infighting and looking for enemies that didnt exist so the committee worked around them Panzerknacker

One of the reasons the UK should leave the isolationist protectionism of the EU is the ability to make deals with the rest of the world. Eire is not allowed to do that, which may explain as to why 57% (and rising) of Irish exports are within EU borders. It could be argued with some justification that EU member states are isolating themselves from the rest of the world.

Come the final fruition of the Ireland 2040 plan, your security forces will need to be armed to the fucking teeth to protect the Irish minority from a homegrown Mujahideen. Leo and the rest of his merry crew of arse bandits will also need to be permanently dosed up with British manufactured amyl nitrite now he's successfully cuckolded your society. I think the case of potential damage to trade deficits is overplayed. That said, no one is too sure how Sterling rates will behave after agreement is reached. Something that no one ever takes into account either is best summed up by Goethe. Bit high-falutin' for Cunts Corner? Deal with it Redundos! Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness. Concerning all acts of creation, there is one elementary truth the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves, too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would otherwise not have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision raising in one's favour all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man would have dreamed would come their way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it now. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it. Begin it now!
