Guest Posted March 26, 2015 Report Share Posted March 26, 2015 There is a time for them and my time was when things were really going wrong. 6 years down the line and everything is hunky dory, probably due to being on the pills and having a more balanced attitude to stuff and not doing fucking stupid things all the time! Popping prescription drugs has been made socially acceptable with the old alternatives deemed unacceptable, antisocial and ultimately illegal as a result of the pharmaceutical companies lobbying to make them so. You're dead right that depression is a natural human condition but over the last sixty years or so the human condition has been existing in the unnaturally stressful environment that modern society as a whole imposes on it and so there's the big pharmaceutical companies with mother's little on hand to keep the populous in a state of euphoric bliss.
