All those films set in the future, where the world is run by vast faceless corporations and people live in poverty and pollution, with no rights or representation? It's here now, being discussed behind closed doors, this treaty which seeks to reduce sovereign government's ability to regulate corporations, to Compensate said corporations for business losses due to unfavourable legislation (from the public purse), and for corporations to be able to sue Governments for failing to provide "suitable market conditions" for their products. Funnily enough, there is NO political opposition to this in the USA.
