For 5 weeks scaffolding has been up. The work Im told by a builder friend should take no more than a day and a half per house. However, the builders timetable is thus: 7.30am Builders turn up and sit around texting, chatting and reading the papers. 8.30am they start work. 9am they all fuck off to Sainsbury's for their brekky. 10am they return and tentatively start work. 1215 they fuck off for lunch. 2pm they come back aand tentatively start again. 3.30pm they fuck off home. One of the elderly tenants told me that she seen a couple of men on her roof on two occasions in the past 5 weeks but he dont seem to do a lot of work.
