In the 228 games he managed he only had the same starting 11 playing consecutively on 7 occasions. Then there was the bringing off of the best players at the wrong time, paying £20,000,000+ for an injured player. Plus, he never seemed to show any emotion at all wether winning or losing, I like managers to be jumping up and down when there team scores and going mental when they concede. |

Keegan had already started the season off. Dalglish commenced management on the 14th January 1997 and led Newcastle to second place, winning 8 Premier League games out of 16. Newcastle crashed out of the Uefa Cup and FA Cup just after he arrived. The following season Newcastle finished 13th level on points with Tottenham, Wimbledon and Sheff Wed, Newcastle finished above these three due to superior goal difference only beating the drop by 4 points in his only full season in charge although they did get to the FA Cup final. Dalglish left Newcastle on 28th August 1998.

When Newcastle got to the FA Cup Final in 1998, the only Premiership team they beat was Everton. They needed a replay and a disputed goal to beat Stevenage and wouldn't swap shirts with the players at the end of the game. I don't mean to be annoying but I am basing it all on the info I have. Dalglish wasn't the right choice for Newcastle.

All I really know about him is he was manager of Switzerland in Euro 96 and played against England in a 1-1 draw, a day after the England players went on a piss-up. Also he narrowly kept Fulham up a little while back with a 0-1 win at Portsmouth on the final day and also guiding Fulham to the Europa Cup Final last season.
